Viagra May Be Useful For Women

It has been known for years that Viagra was created especially for men to treat a highly spread health disorder called the erectile dysfunction. However, recently, new researches have shown that Viagra could help certain women – those who suffer from the sexual side effects of antidepressants – to achieve an orgasm.

Pfizer, who is the top-producer of Viagra, financed the study, which appeared in the current issue of The Journal of the American Medical Association. There was hold an experiment which involved 98 women who suffered at least a month from sexual dysfunction in result of taking antidepressants. A definite number of these women took a kind of placebo, while others took Viagra. The study showed that 72 percent of the women who took Viagra reported overall sexual improvement while 27 percent of those taking the placebo felt no sexual desire.

During the study, women taking Viagra suffered headaches and indigestion at a higher rate than women taking the placebo. However, the positive effect was felt much stronger in comparison with those women who took placebo. It should be mentioned that the average age of the women who participated in the study was 37, and none had reached the period of menopause.

The research represents a real curiosity for everybody interested in the field, especially for physicians who work with the problem of erectile dysfunction. It is not known concretely what results this discovery will contribute in the modern medicine. However, this fact will be studied more thoroughly and may be in close future we will come across a new generation drug, which will be as effective as today’s Viagra for men.
